How we're paid
The lender pays the broker on most residential mortgages, and any alternative/private-lending fees are disclosed upfront in writing.
Any rate or payment mentioned is illustrative and on approved credit (OAC). It is not a quote, a commitment, or a current offer.
Residential files
On a bank or monoline purchase, refinance, or renewal, payment to MKG comes from the lender. The lender still decides the file, and any rate on that file is the lender's offer.
When a fee may apply
Any alternative or private-lending fee is disclosed upfront, in writing, before you commit.
